On the 27th of March, 2005, the Arab World lost a great and esteemed star; Ahmed Zaki, after a long struggle with cancer. Born on the 18th of November, 1949 in Al-Zagazig, Ahmed Zaki Abdul Rahman was brought up by his grandfather after his father died and mother remarried. His life was quite and normal up till preparatory school; upon graduating, Ahmed Zaki decided to enroll in a technical school but life had much more in store for him than anyone could imagine. Because he was a big fan of theater himself, the school principal encouraged the young Zaki to take the stage in numerous plays organized by the school when he felt his growing interest in the theater
